Chocolate Chunk Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces

  • 1 3/4 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon Beyond Good Vanilla Extract

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups flour

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 of your favorite Beyond Good Chocolate bars

    Instructions

  • Take the butter and milk and melt them in the microwave using a small microwave safe bowl. Heat them in the microwave for one minute and thirty seconds, or until the butter has completely melted

  • Whisk the vanilla in with the butter and then set the bowl aside.

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they are nice and fluffy. Next, pour in

  • the milk and butter mixture and then stir everything until they’ve combined.

  • Next, you’ll add the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar to the bowl and mix it

  • until it has just combined. If there are small lumps in the batter, that’s ok.

  • Let the batter sit for about five minutes. While the batter is resting, preheat your

  • waffle iron.

  • Stir the chocolate chunks into the batter, then pour the batter onto the hot waffle

  • iron.

  • Cook the waffles according to the waffle maker’s directions. Our belgian waffle

  • maker says to cook 1 cup of batter for 4 minutes and they turn out perfect!
