Chocolate Chunk Waffles
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
1 3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon Beyond Good Vanilla Extract
2 eggs
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2 of your favorite Beyond Good Chocolate bars
Instructions
Take the butter and milk and melt them in the microwave using a small microwave safe bowl. Heat them in the microwave for one minute and thirty seconds, or until the butter has completely melted
Whisk the vanilla in with the butter and then set the bowl aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they are nice and fluffy. Next, pour in
the milk and butter mixture and then stir everything until they’ve combined.
Next, you’ll add the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar to the bowl and mix it
until it has just combined. If there are small lumps in the batter, that’s ok.
Let the batter sit for about five minutes. While the batter is resting, preheat your
waffle iron.
Stir the chocolate chunks into the batter, then pour the batter onto the hot waffle
iron.
Cook the waffles according to the waffle maker’s directions. Our belgian waffle
maker says to cook 1 cup of batter for 4 minutes and they turn out perfect!
